Radiophrenia, CCA, Glasgow

Radiophrenia is a week-long exploration into current trends in sound and transmission arts, broadcasting 24 hrs a day live from Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Arts between 13th and 19th April 2015.  The station aims to promote radio as an art form, encouraging challenging and radical new approaches to the medium. I was commissioned to produce ‘We Belong to Glasgow’ for Radiophrenia which features audio from the brilliant Mister Glasgow’s YouTube channel.  My influences for making ‘We Belong to Glasgow’ are the cut-up technique of William Burroughs, the work of my favourite author James Kelman, the work of artist collective Thomson and Craighead and the attitude of trials cyclist Danny MacAskill.  You can listen to ‘We Belong to Glasgow’ on my Soundcloud page.
