The murder of academic Dr Brenda Page in 1978, an eminent scientist at Aberdeen University, was unsolved for over 40 years when we started producing this podcast originally for News UK.
We worked with investigative journalist Ruth Warrender to find who and what was behind the heinous crime. But after the second episode dropped, an arrest was made. The podcast was taken down until the accused stood trial and just after the verdict, we were able to relaunch. We were delighted that Brenda’s family finally saw justice done. The seven-part podcast series was in the Top 10 of the Apple Podcast charts and No.1 in Spotify’s True Crime charts for several weeks. You can listen to Murder in the Granite city here
